We are in San Diego. The maiden voyage in the RV is half way done, and I didn’t even post about it. I’m going to, I swear.

Highlights:

A day of shopping (instead of packing) on $375 worth of gift cards received as a “gift”. It’s a good story.
Starting our voyage at 11 pm and not being able to make the drive.
Eating at the Mad Greek in Baker.
Sleeping in a Starbucks parking lot.
Thinking we may have had a flat tire.
Buying four new tires our first day here, thanking god that we didn’t blow out the old sun damaged, worn tires on the trip here.
Spending the morning sending out all of the Amazon books that sold and carted to San Diego…..there were alot of them.
Finding out that it is nearly impossible for Murphy the dog to walk, much less stand up once she is down, on wood floors.
Eating sushi for dinner, and Kung Food (vegan smorgesbord) for lunch.

Now, after showers, we are driving to Wall Mart to park on a level surface. Sleeping last night at a five degree angle was just uncomfortable enough to not get a good nights rest.

Tomorrow, The San Diego Zoo and looking into buying “booties” for Murphy so she can walk. Just one more thing in the long line of embarrassments that Murphy the dog has had to bear.
