I’ve seen it before, but it still creeps me out.
Robotics firm Boston Dynamics has released new video of its most advanced quadruped robot, BigDog. The company received a $10 million DARPA award to “produce a robot with animal-like strength, speed and mobility,” Mass High Tech notes.
In the footage, the robotic dog is shown climbing a hillside, navigating snowy terrain, and regaining its balance after being kicked.
The first baseball game is tomorrow. Only one, and in Japan. Theoretically, our season could officially start tomorrow. Andy is downstairs playing video poker for an hour or so to comp our room for tonight and then his fiery brain will be back to work. Me? The thought of going back to the Bikram torture chamber sounded horrible yesterday. I only got through 70 minutes of the 90 minute class. I spent the last twenty flopped out on a cold bench in the locker room. I’ve never left a class early before. I thought I should take today off, but this morning I woke up with my neck and back feeling the best I can remember. I might reconsider, suck it up and go. I have choices. The classes run about every three hours from 6 am to 9 pm.
