Out into the world

3ke3p23l25oe5ta5s69aie8ca19e002941eaa1The foster kittens are back at the shelter. I would have liked to keep them longer but I wanted their “kitten-ness” to shine and give them a better chance of being adopted. It was alot harder dropping them off than I thought it would be. I know they’re only cats, but still. I got a little misty eyed when I was leaving. I pet them until they stopped giving me the “what the F*!K lady?” look from in their new cage and was reassured by the staff that they would be adopted quickly and that I could come by and visit any time I wanted to. They’re in good hands. I probably won’t visit. I think that might be a little too “cat lady”.

The super virulent and debilitating strain of what I’m calling bird flu, because I like to be trendy and dramatic, is almost gone. I did everything I usually do in a day and didn’t feel like falling down or coughing out a lung once. I think I’ll give the Rocky Mountain Roller Girls credit for the healing. I went to the pre-tryout skate at the warehouse/rink/gang clubhouse yesterday and meet current roller girls and other newbie roller girls like me. We all skated around for an hour got questions answered and all felt a little less nervous about the tryouts at the end. I met some really nice people and am even more geeked about being on a team. Very dorky, I know. But I don’t think I’ve ever been on a team I’ve actually not been forced to be on before.

Congrats on your new place. My sister lives in Highlands Ranch – she’s been there for more years that I can remember. Kim didn’t have your address but thought it was near there … can you email your address so we have a contact point – would really appreciate it if it’s okay with you.
